The simplicity of this lovely tune masks the potential for the wonderful harmonization possibilities. I present the evolution of a number of alternate chord choices in significant detail: many of these choices are not obvious! I emphasize making the connections between the melody, chord progression, arranging ideas and backup. To bring out the chord choices, arranging ideas include chord substitutions (suspensions, secondary dominants, and chromatic bass lines), two and three note chords, valley rolls, fills and melodic variations. The melody is appropriate for all levels.
