This is the first in a series of soundtrack releases by Alexandra Benedict & Tris Taylor.

'Shackled' is an atmospheric psychological thriller set in a 1950s circus in Louisiana, starring Emilia Clarke ().

Here is the film's log line:

"Held captive by a circus, Malu (Clarke) is frantically rescued from her shackles by her husband. As she waits anxiously in the darkness for her chance to escape, a disturbing truth she’s hidden away seeps back in."

Award-winning director Nour Wazzi returned to work with previous collaborators Alexandra Benedict and Tris Taylor on the score.

The script has almost no dialogue – so they used soprano voice to sing Malu's feelings over accordion and music box, and brought in calliope (steam organ), gypsy violin and circus percussion to amplify the film's circus setting.

'Shackled' went on to be nominated for Best Film at the London Short Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival and DFI's Ajyal Youth Film Festival, and won a Golden Palm at the Mexico International Film Festival.
