In Matthew 7 and Luke 6, Jesus tells of a house built on sand.  Its foundation was weak, so the whole house fell apart during a storm.  What is our belief built on?  The sandy weak foundation of the world or the rock solid foundation of truth?

God laid the foundations of the earth on wisdom.  Shouldn’t our lives be too?  We can’t cover up the cracks with spit and paint, but with truth and the Bible.

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.  1 Corinthians 3:10-11
