Shoulders Practice: Volume 1
Well known for the "alien in her shoulder blades", in this practice session, Audra leads you through a 23 minute drilling practice focusing on small shoulder isolations, shoulder movements and movements that begin in the shoulder, as we build and develop versatility and stamina.
Working with moving the shoulder itself up and down (no arm or torso involved), arm undulations, and rolls of the shoulder, stationary and moving drills are presented that will appeal to beginner through advanced dancers.
It's all filmed in a practice style session, at The Dark Side Studio, with a casual, live feel, complete with giggles.
Quite challenging for beginners, a damn decent drilling session for intermediate and advanced dancers. I encourage you to continue ask more of yourself as you get familiar with the material, check your posture, your pelvis and your resting arm often!
This is a practice session, not an instructional session
These isolations and movements are a part of The Dark Side Dance Program and can be found in Stage 1: Basic Black and Stage 2: Lavender. For more information on The Dark Side Dance Program, please see http://www.lavishdance.com/WordPress/?page_id=811
