What if you could skip the process of figuring it all out on your own, and get career guidance from a UX expert?

Relay is the career management program that bridges the gap between your bootcamp (or current job) and your next UX opportunity. You’ll work 1-on-1 with me to craft a complete job application package, from resume to portfolio (and lots more!)

How does Relay work?

Week by week, we’ll collaborate together to complete ALL of your major job application materials, including your UX Resume, UX Portfolio and even cover letters.

Unlike Sprint which is laser-focused on completing one job asset, Relay ensures completion of all necessary components of your job search within 3 months time.

In addition, our collaboration includes:

Developing 2 to 3 in-depth case studies from existing projects.
Position yourself to gain freelance projects & experience
Private workshops to develop your personal brand as a UX Designer

Over the course of 12 sessions (and lots of homework in between), we’ll prioritize your career goals and jump over each hurdle one by one.

Example: One entire month can be dedicated to writing your case studies, the next month polishing everything together in your portfolio, and the last month focused on personal branding & job applications.

Whereas UX Bootcamps teach you the basics of design, is the missing bootcamp to specifically help you land job opportunities and freelance assignments.

Sample Relay coaching schedule

Pre-session: complete a UX questionnaire & skill audit so we can establish your career baseline. This exercise in itself helps many designers gauge their needs and clarify their problems.

Month 1 (4 sessions): overhaul your resume, cover letter and begin editing portfolio.

Month 2 (4 sessions): Edit, rewrite, or develop your case studies from scratch.

Month 3 (4 sessions): UX interview prep, personal branding and learn the ropes of freelancing.

Post session: Receive a brief detailing our work together in Relay, which includes next steps and specific recommendations for improvement, e.g. what skills to practice, branding considerations to make.
