String Quartet 2 - Tita - Derek Gripper

This String Quartet (two violins, viola and cello) is based on the chord sequence from the Malian song Tita first recorded by Fanta Sacko. I wrote this while at Peasmarsh Chamber Music Festival in the UK. It was premiered in a trio version for guitar, cello and violin by myself and Vashti Hunter (cello) and Jonian Ilias Kadesha (violin) at Peasmarsh Festival in 2019. 

This is slightly harder the Quartet 1. Some tricky rhythms and fast passages.
