Wedding Tunes: Processional & Recessional

These are my simple, lush, unabashedly schmalzy versions of Wagner's Wedding Processional and Mendelssohn's Recessional for pedal harp.

Each is on two facing pages (woohoo - no page turns!) with lots of potential repeats in the Processional (for brides who need a little more time ... and of course you never know how much) -- and a few repeats in the Recessional (in case the wedding party dilly-dallies on the way back down the aisle).

Frank Voltz said this about these arrangements "As far as I'm concerned, they are the definite versions for harp because they incorporate so many luscious glisses and the Henson-Conant signature style."  (Thank you Frank!)

In my wedding-playing days my motto for a wedding processional was NO DRY EYE IN THE HOUSE!  Everyone who gets married wants to come down the aisle into the heart of romance  - that was my first intention with this arrangement, and my second was to make it fun and easy for the harp player to play.  Note: This is for PEDAL HARPS (though I just tried it and the Processional works pretty well on level harp if you ignore all the pedal changes on the glisses.)
