If you're thinking about homeschooling a child in Pennsylvania, you might have heard that Pennsylvania has one of the most demanding laws in the country

This may be true but you'll learn that the requirements, while sometimes inconvenient, are easy to satisfy if you have accurate information.

This course is designed to walk you through the legal filing requirements of the law in about 90 minutes

It will spare you from clicking around websites and scrolling through social media for answers to your most basic questions about how to get started and how to complete your responsibilities for a school year.

Think of this course as your personal mentor to satisfy the legal requirements to homeschool in Pennsylvania.

This workshop will arm you with accurate information to help you prepare and file the required paperwork in a timely manner and will help you avoid the most common mistakes that supervisors sometimes make.

You'll also get the ebook on the subject for free, sample forms and letters, citations to relevant regulatory language and quick reference lists.

The course is divided into 4 modules for easy navigation and reference points if you want to review the material.

Module 1: The qualifications of a supervisor and compulsory attendance age of students.

Module 2: Everything you need to know about preparing and filing the initial paperwork including the affidavit, proposed list of objectives, evidence of health services and a letter of approval for students with special needs if applicable.

SOME COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE COURSE:

Q: Isn't the information freely available in the text of the law ?

A: All the information in the course is based on the text of the law which I encourage everyone to read. It's important to become familiar with it. However, doing so often raises more questions than it answers.

Q: Isn't this the same information that is freely available on the website that you publish?

A: Same information, different format, presented in a way that might be easier to understand, relate to, digest. There's no easy way to present a step-by-step progression on a website.

Q: Isn't this the same information that's available for $10 in the ebook available through the website.

A: Yes. The ebook is included in this course, too. Some people learn better by hearing information.

Q: Can't I ask questions in a facebook group.

A: Yes and I encourage you to do so. You might find that topics are often buried and well-meaning people misinterpret or misapply the legal requirements or have different experiences with their school districts.

Q: Can I get a refund if I still don't understand something?

A: No. Once you purchase the course, all the materials are instantly available. If you have questions about whether the course is a good fit for you before you buy, feel free to email me "beth@pahomeschoollaw.com". Please don't purchase if you're unsure.

Q: My situation is a little different than most. Will this answer my questions?

A: This course does not cover specialized circumstances.

Q: Can I share the course with a friend?

A: No. You're welcome to gift the course to someone. Each purchase may be viewed by members of a single household. I have tried to keep the cost affordable to make it accessible to as many people as possible. If you or someone you know could benefit from the information but is experiencing a hardship, I'll be happy to consider requests for a discount or free pass on an individual basis.

Q: Do you have an affiliate program?

I would love to share commissions with satisfied customers and other leaders in the Pa homeschool community who don't need this material but would like to share and promote the workshop. Reach out if you're interested.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP CREATOR

Beth Phillips is a former homeschooling mom of four and licensed attorney in Pennsylvania. She is the publisher of PaHomeschoollaw.com and various guides and an ebook on the topic.

Although Beth's children are all adults, the recent interest in homeschooling due to the pandemic has inspired her to update the various resources, including this course, to incorporate recent amendments in the compulsory attendance law.

Her approach to the legal requirements is to comply without over-complying.

This course was originally published in 2015. Version 2.0 is completely updated and re-recorded.
