Critique and being an effective peer editor is a special skill set -- finding the fine balance between honesty, compassion, and helpfulness isn't always easy. "The Amiable Critique" covers keeping a critique positive and constructive, gauging the biases of everyone involved and focusing on useful writing advice as both the critiqued and the critic.

I've been involved in three different writing groups over the years, and now work with a fantastic group of people. I want to share what I've learned about critiquing, about encouraging each other and receiving criticism -- hence "The Amiable Critique"!
