CSP: Non-invasive prenatal testing

Common Sense Pathology is a regular, case-based series on practical pathology for GPs. It is a joint initiative of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia and Australian Doctor.

GPs are likely to be the first point of contact for antenatal healthcare. This booklet aims to identify the skills needed to provide appropriate counselling and guidance to patients in order to inform appropriate decision-making. It also includes information regarding prenatal tests, their appropriateness and limitations, as well as specialist referral and follow-up.
