Moonstruck #0

Moonstruck #0 is the five-page origin story of the Image Comics all-ages series Moonstruck. This story is in canon and depicts Julie and Selena's turbulent first ever date!

Because of the catastrophically bad hurricane in Puerto Rico (and because our story's heroine is Puerto Rican), 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this mini-issue will go directly to the Hispanic Foundation, in perpetuity. We decided to implement a pay-what-you-want system for this story, and we encourage you to give whatever you're comfortable giving.

So what is this, exactly? Well, Moonstruck started as a class assignment at the Columbus College of Art and Design for their annual anthology called Spitball, which is full of five-page stories written by professional writers and illustrated by CCAD students. The class is taught by Laurenn McCubbin, who saw the story that Grace Ellis (writer) and Shae Beagle (artist) put together and offered to edit a full-series version of the story. The rest is history, and here we are, a wondrous team of friends making a comic about a (marginally) more magical wondrous team of friends!
