Children Teacher's Manual 3 RSBS

This Teacher’s Manual 3 is a companion book and provides instructions and explanations to anyone who would like to teach Russian using the Russian Step By Step (RSBS) for Children Workbook 3 (Step 3).

If you are a parent or a relative of the child and will be leading the lessons, we recommend you getting the Children Workbook 3 too, as you will need to follow along with the student.

If you want to make your lesson planning even easier, look for the Games and the Illustrations supplements. The full set for this Step 3 consists of the Student Workbook 3 (with free digital download), Teacher’s Manual 3, Games 3 and Digital Slides 3. The set will provide 6 complete and comprehensive lessons for a group, private, in person or online class.

Each level of the course Russian Step By Step for Children is intended for 12 hours of class work. The grammar is introduced gradually, the vocabulary is expanded from lesson to lesson and all the four language skills (speaking, grammar, comprehension and writing) are worked on step-by-step. The students practice speaking and comprehension, as well as learn asking and answering questions. Teacher’s Manual 3 contains recommendations to teachers how to work with the course, lesson plans, explanations of grammar in English, mirroring the grammar explanations in the student Workbook 3, as well as all the texts and exercises (with answers) from the Workbook. 

Upon completion of Step 3 the student will learn:

• how to form masculine and feminine plural nouns
  
• possessive pronouns
  
• verb conjugations for the present tense
  
• counting: 30 – 100
  
• full name (first name, patronymic, and last name)
  
• talk about nationalities and professions
