Fishing Viliiage of Tai O, HK

Tai O is a community of fisher folk who’ve built their houses on stilts above the tidal flats of Lantau Island in Hong Kong. These unusual structures are interconnected, forming a tightly knit community that literally lives on the water. 

I have photographed this fishing village from various angles and positions (including from the water). This should be useful to any artist who needs reference or design inspiration for their own environments. 

All photos were taken with a Canon Rebel XS and are around 3,888 pixels wide (approx).
